Hi, my name is Bethany. While I’m currently a successful workshop leader and public speaker, I obviously didn’t start out this way.

My journey began when I was 11 years old. I was riding in the back of my parents’ 1956 Chevy station wagon (that was before the days of seat belts), looking out the rear window at the night sky. I remember vividly how bright and clear the half-moon appeared. The darker edge was slightly visible, which made it clearly a ‘ball’ hanging in space, rather than just a flat light in the sky.

At that moment, I decided that there must be a god. Looking back on it, I would say that was the moment I began in search of “truth”. (Where I got the notion of ‘god’ I don’t know. My parents were agnostic and in our home, knowledge and education reigned supreme.)

My hunger, or curiosity, led me to various churches over the years. I read books on self-help, religion and metaphysics. I learned a lot about life and about myself, but it would be many more years before I was able to put the pieces together in a way that felt like I had come home and discovered the principles I had always been looking for.

In the meantime, I read every book I could get my hands on regarding self-awareness, personal growth and spirituality. I received training to facilitate small groups, a 12-step program, and the Break Free method. I developed and led workshops, retreats and study groups on various topics relating to personal growth, and had many public speaking opportunities.

When I discovered the principles that allowed me to actually experience peace and joy through the two most difficult years of my life, and to finally create the life I wanted, I realized these insights could powerfully transform anyone’s life.

From a very young age, I’ve had a passion to help people have a better, happier life. This passion has taken many forms through the years, and if there is one thing I have learned, it’s that I cannot help anyone unless they are also willing to help themselves.

No one can do it for you, and no one (not even a great coach), can tell you what’s best for your life. So, my goal is to give you tools, insights, principles and techniques, learned from my own journey, that will help you find your own answers.

I heard a quote years ago that is appropriate here: “I want to be a fork in the road, not just a signpost along the way.” In other words, my highest desire is for you to become aware of the wonderful choices you have, and be empowered to make the ones that will lead to the life you truly want.

More about me…

Although I have my very serious side, I am also fun-loving and young-at-heart. Half of the year, my partner, Tom, and I live in a cabin in the woods in the North Cascades in Washington State. During the winder, we live in Yuma, Arizona. Tom is my biggest encourager and a wonderful life partner. Together, we have created a lovely, peaceful life that is full of fun and good friends. Our Cabin in the Woods

I play guitar and sing, Tom and I both paint, ride motorcycles, drift the river in our inflatable raft, go dancing and enjoy live music. Our favorite places to hang out are our front porch and the local Birdsview Brewery (Concrete, WA).
